Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush
The coronavirus has impacted all of us in one way or another. For this orthopedic group in Chicago, it meant a major reduction in elective surgeries and office visits. Virtually overnight, it became important to maximize revenue and continue to keep the group top-of-mind. Telemedicine emerged as a successful option for many patients which was promoted via patient storytelling, social media and media relations. In addition, as the team physicians for the Chicago Bulls and Chicago White Sox, doctors had interesting stories to tell about caring for athletes during quarantine.
